Good evening Dark Passengers! This is Star7. Jen has been insane awesome enough to allow me to post on her site.

Tonight we are taking a look at names. These are examples of darker and more unusual names. The idea for this article came to me when I was searching for a cool name for my new rabbit. I didn’t want her to be another Fluffy or Hoppy.

Choosing a less common name is a fun and safe way to let your dark passenger out to play! Why have another Spot or Rover when you can have a Butcher, Psycho, or Hellion! Continue reading “Dark and Unusual Names” »

Happy 13th, dark passengers. Yesterday, I mentioned that strange things have been happening to me recently. Today, I’d like to share one of those strange happenings from over the weekend.

To understand it, I think we first have to get into the concept of a ghost in the machine. There are different interpretations of this concept, but for argument’s sake, we’ll use the first one I learned about. Basically, it’s theorized that a ghost in the machine is random bits of coding that form sentient anomalies. Sort of like artificial intelligence, I suppose.

But what if there actually were a ghost in the machine?

I’m not saying that’s the case, but let me fill you in… Continue reading “Ghost in My Machine” »

Hey, dark passengers. By now, I think everyone on the planet is familiar with the Law of Attraction – or at least, they’ve heard of it. Even if you don’t believe that your consciousness has any bearing on the events of your life, I feel I must ask: How can it hurt to try manifesting your dreams?

Considering that the Laws of Attraction have been buzz words for years now, it might seem odd for me to choose now to discuss this topic. In fact, you probably think it’s more of my randomness that means little. It’s not.

Last week, I received an email from local psychic medium Cindy Ross. This in and of itself is nothing new because I get her newsletter on a weekly basis to let me know what’s going on in the classes she offers. What got me thinking specifically about the Law of Attraction is something she wrote about the solar eclipse we’ll experience on January 15, 2010. Continue reading “Manifesting Your Dreams” »

At times, the media jumps the gun and pronounces murders to be the work of a serial killer because of the shock value and ratings it produces. While a string of similar murders may, in fact, be the handiwork of a serial killer, it is important to understand what a true serial killer is – and is not – before assigning this label. It may never be possible to understand what differentiates serial killers from normal people, why certain people feel driven to kill in the face of the triggers faced each day by the rest of society, but defining the characteristics of a serial killer makes it easier to determine when a crime falls into this category.

Essentially, serial killers are defined by their methods, motivations and marks. Continue reading “Defining the Serial Killer” »

Opening Line: “I find people around me are all making some kind of connection – like friendship or romance.  But human bonds always lead to messy complications.  Commitment, sharing, driving people to the airport…Besides, if I let someone get that close they’d see who I really am and I can’t let that happen.  So, time to put on my mask.”

Episode Title: “Popping Cherry”

Opening Line: “Most people have a hard time dealing with death, but I’m not most people.  It’s the grief that makes me uncomfortable.  Not because I’m a killer.  Really, I just don’t understand all that emotion…which makes it tough to fake.  In those cases, shades come in handy. ”
