A Sunset is a colored poem that ends up Amethyst

Happy Wednesday, dark passengers. Today I thought we’d tackle a topic that’s near and dear to my heart: Stress and the psychic. As you probably remember from my old site, I have a fluid definition of “psychic” so we’re actually going to reach out to encompass Empaths, sensitives and intuitives.

And yes, there is a difference between those three terms, but we’ll save that for another day when I feel like tackling esoteric word definitions.

Anyway.

I think we can all agree that stress relief and coping techniques are important for anyone in this day and age, but I hold that these things are even more important for a person with psychic gifts. Frankly, the more novice you are at controlling your psychic abilities, the better you should be at handling stress. Why? Simply put, being different causes it’s own special brand of stress and, left unchecked, that stress can bleed over into your everyday situations.

Basically, being a stressed out psychic is worse than PMS, but no one knows to bring you chocolate and speak in soothing tones. (Would psychic PMS be Psychic Mental pSychosis?) Continue reading “Stress and the Psychic” »

Cat, with its mouth open

Image via Wikipedia

Hey, dark passengers. Have you ever watched someone talk to a cat? I don’t mean when it meows at you and you meow back at it, I’m asking if you’ve ever really seen a person have an in-depth conversation with a cat. or any other animal, for that matter. They look ridiculous, right? Probably even a little crazy?

Except…if it’s an animal Empath, they actually are carrying on a conversation with the animal in question. You just can’t understand them.

One of the basics of the empathic gift is the ability to tap into the emotions and feelings of others – usually whether you want to or not. This in and of itself is odd. Why should the ability to connect with animals be any stranger? Because they don’t have emotions and only act on instinct? Sure. Okay. Except for the fact that if you pay enough attention to your pet, you’ll probably notice they do quite a bit that goes directly against their base animal instincts. The stories I could tell you…

But I won’t. We’re talking animal Empaths today, not the abnormal behavior of Jen’s cat. Continue reading “What Are Animal Empaths?” »

Please bear with us while we work through the current technical issues. We hope to have all areas of the site functional again soon. Once they are, we’ll delete this message.

At this time, all visitors to the site should be able to leave comments.

Thank you for your patience.

Hey, dark passengers. Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m aware of the current site issue and working to correct it. As soon as I can figure out why no one can leave comments and get it working again, I’ll post a message about it.

Sorry, y’all. I only found out about it today or I would have already tried to fix it.

Happy Wednesday, dark passengers. (And a big happy birthday to my co-writer, Star7). We’ve been on serial killers for a while now and, though I have volumes to say on the subject, I thought tonight was a good time to switch gears and delve into the paranormal.

Specifically, I’m talking vampires tonight.

For whatever reason (which I’ll be speculating on in another post at a different site), vampires seem to be the mythical creature/human-hybrid that captures the most imaginations over the years. Now that the vampire community is more out in the open about their practices, people even hear more about modern vampirism and real vampires. And, of course, when I say the community is more open about it, I mean they no longer choose to actively hide who they are from the population at large anymore, though I would suspect that many, many members of the vampire community choose not to advertise their affiliation. The Number 23

Wow, this month is moving fast for me, dark passengers. Tonight I want to share something with you that’s been on my mind for a while. Fair warning…it’s probably going to sound a little crazy. Like that’s a shock. When was the last time I said anything normal?

Here’s what I’m wondering: Can numbers kill?

Let’s take that a step further. Can a number become a serial killer?

If anyone’s got the image of some guy wearing a number suit creeping through the house with a knife, Continue reading “Serial Killer Number” »

Before anyone gets the wrong idea from the title, we’re talking break-up getting rid of – not murder! Now that we have that cleared up, let’s get to it.

This is Star7. Jen didn’t learn her lesson from last time so I’m back again this time to offer you ways to get rid of that not-so special someone. What better way to do that than on Valentines Day? I don’t know about you, but I have plenty of not so great memories of the holiday.

Here is a list of things you can say to the thorn in your side so they are no longer: Continue reading “Get Rid of that Not-So Special Someone on Valentine’s Day” »

Happy Monday, dark passengers. Since we’ve been camped out on Serial Killer Mountain for a while, I thought I’d point you in the direction of the post I wrote on a new paranormal website I’m part of. Don’t worry, I’m still covering paranormal phenomena here, but I’m writing with two other talented writers, so you may enjoy a new perspective.

A few days ago, I had an odd experience in the middle of the night. Was it paranormal? Was it an overactive imagination? That’s up to you to decide. You can read all about my strange experiences on the new website.

Well, I’m back again, dark passengers and surprise surprise, I’ve got another song with lyrics that make me think about serial killers. If I’m honest, I found this one last night when I was writing Somewhere a Clock is Killing, but I wanted to focus on one brand of serial killer music at a time.

And tonight, we’ve got the teenage serial killer.

Okay…sort of. Here’s the thing, if you listen to ‘Tear You Apart’ by She Wants Revenge, you’ll notice two things about it: Continue reading “Teenagers are Like Serial Killers” »

Happy Wednesday, dark passengers! Over the last few days, I’ve been listening to a ton of music because I have a day job editing right now. (I know, you’d never know it from the condition of my posts here…) One song on my work playlist has a haunting melody, but I’d never really paid much attention to the lyrics…until last night, that is.

I have to say, I might be a touch disturbed by it. Not because the lyrics are so much worse than anything else out there, but because the lyrics echoed the sentiments of a serial killer.

At least, that’s how it sounds to me.

The song in question is “Somewhere a Clock is Ticking” by Snow Patrol. Here are some of the lines that have me thinking serial killer, even when I didn’t have Dexter and Criminal Minds on the brain: Continue reading “Somewhere a Clock is Killing” »
